About Cambodia Monitor

Know what changed — and why it matters.

What Cambodia Monitor is

Cambodia Monitor is a bilingual monitoring workspace for people who need to know what changed in Cambodia: investors and analysts, banks, embassies and country-risk teams, journalists, researchers, SMEs and executives.

It organizes signals across economy, investment, finance, regulation, trade, infrastructure, risk, politics and markets into a feed, a map, a market pulse strip and a daily brief.

Methodology

Events are ingested from official, institutional and published sources, normalized into a common structure, deduplicated by canonical URL and a deterministic title hash, and ranked using impact, source authority, recency and confidence.

Impact score is an informational ranking, not a proprietary prediction. Items are never marked verified simply because they were ingested — verification status reflects whether a record is primary, corroborated, reported or unverified.

See Sources & Methodology for the full source registry.

Primary vs secondary sources

T1 · Official items come straight from an official Cambodian institution's own website — currently the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and the Securities and Exchange Regulator of Cambodia (SERC). Secondary reporting items are news articles found through the GDELT news index. The National Bank of Cambodia is listed but not collected, because its website does not permit automated access.

Bilingual & AI disclosure

The interface supports English and Khmer. Headlines are shown exactly as the source published them, in their original language. Nothing is machine-translated today.

The feed, map and Morning Brief are currently produced with fixed, transparent rules — no AI-written summaries. If AI assistance is added later, those items will be labelled AI-assisted and the original kept.

Corrections & contact

A corrections and contact address has not been published yet. It will appear here before public launch.
