Press FAQ

How to send us a press release, how to reach us for media inquiries, and how Cambodia Monitor decides what to publish — in plain answers.

What is the Press page?

The Press page at cambodia-monitor.com/press has two sections: press releases we have issued ourselves, and media mentions — places where Cambodia Monitor's reporting or analysis has been cited by other outlets. Every item shows its date, and mentions link to the original coverage so you can read it in context.

How do I submit a press release or announcement?

Email admin@cambodia-monitor.com with your announcement, the organization's official website, and a contact we can reach for follow-up questions. If it relates to a company in our directory, mention the company name so we can link the item to its profile. We read every submission, but inclusion is an editorial decision: we publish announcements that are relevant to Cambodian business and markets, and we may edit for length and clarity.

What happens to a press release after I send it?

An editor reviews it against the accompanying source material. Approved items are published on the Press page, optionally in English and Khmer, and dated the day of release. We do not publish paid placements — a submission cannot buy its way onto the page, and we do not accept payment for including or removing any item.

Can I send you a company's own announcement to include in its profile?

Yes. Company statements are treated as company-reported information: they are used only where they can be checked against the company's official website, filings, or other official records, and they are labelled with their source like everything else we publish. A claim we cannot verify is not published as fact.

How do media inquiries work?

Journalists and researchers can reach us at admin@cambodia-monitor.com. Put 'Media inquiry' in the subject line, say who you are and what you are working on, and give us your deadline. We respond to substantive inquiries as quickly as we can — usually within a couple of working days — and we can talk about our sourcing, our methodology, or the substance of specific published analysis.

Can we quote or republish Cambodia Monitor's analysis?

Quoting a short passage with a link back to the original page and a credit to Cambodia Monitor is welcome and needs no permission. Republishing a whole article requires written permission — email us with what you would like to use and where. Free summaries may be quoted freely with attribution; paid Professional articles are quoted with a link to the free summary.

Where does Cambodia Monitor's information come from?

Only from sources we can point to: official records and registries, regulator and exchange filings, government announcements, company websites, and established news reporting. The exact wording we relied on is saved alongside what we publish with a link to the original source, so readers can check every claim themselves. We do not use anonymous tips as a basis for anything we publish.

What are your corrections and accuracy policies?

Nothing is published until it has been written, checked against its saved sources, and approved by an editor. When something is wrong, we correct it: tell us at admin@cambodia-monitor.com, ideally with a link to the official source that contradicts what we published. Verified corrections are applied to the item and its review date is updated. Substantive corrections are noted rather than silently deleted.

What will you not publish?

We do not publish estimated personal wealth or company valuations, because there is no reliable public data and guessing would be misleading. We do not publish unverified honours or titles as fact — they are labelled 'unconfirmed' until an official record is seen. We do not publish paid or sponsored content, and we do not remove published material at anyone's request without an editorial reason.

Is the Press page free to read?

Yes. Press releases, media mentions, the directories and the free blog are free for everyone. Our paid Professional subscription covers the market dashboard, the daily brief, in-depth analysis and the Professional-only calendar — not the Press page.
